This course offers a comprehensive introduction to Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), exploring filmmaking tools. It's designed for students and professionals who want to unlock the potential of Unreal to transform their work in film or TV production. You’ll explore UE5’s capabilities for creating cinematic experiences - studying the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced modules.
UE5 tools can take your movies to the next level, you can create breathtaking digital sets. From photoreal sets to unique landscapes and worlds – there are no limits. It offers Hollywood-grade cinematic tools and lighting systems. With UE5’s real-time environment, you can make changes and see the results immediately. This course will introduce you to tools that can supercharge your movie and filmmaking workflows. No prior experience is needed, and all classes are taught live online. This allows for lots of interaction with your tutor and fellow students.

Minimum requirements

To study this short course, you must:
Be over 18
Have a good understanding of written and spoken English (we recommend a B2 level)
Feel comfortable using a computer.

You will need:
Participants need to install Unreal Engine 5.5
Participants will need to ensure their machine can run UE 5.5
Dual monitor setup is recommended
A strong internet connection
Cloud storage or external hard drive to back up your work, 1TB+ recommended
A three-button mouse or graphics tablet.
A computer microphone and webcam
Note-taking materials.

We offer payment plan options for all courses. Following an initial deposit at registration stage, your chosen payment plan will break down your remaining fees into up to three instalments, to be paid before the end of the course.

We pack a lot into each class of our evening courses, to be able to offer a learning option that is more flexible and fits in with your personal and work life. This means that contact time with your tutors will be intense learning and hands on. To make the most of this course, we recommend that you spend at least 10 hours working on your projects or practising your new skills in your own time each week.
