Escape Studios, one of the UK’s leading schools for animation, games and VFX, is thrilled to announce its nomination in two major award categories at the 2024 TIGA and IHE Awards. Known for excellence in animation, games and VFX education, Escape Studios has been shortlisted in the Educational Institution category at the TIGA Awards and for Inspiring Courses at the IHE (Independent Higher Education) Awards for its innovative BSc (Hons) / MSci Technical Art for Games & VFX course.

The TIGA Awards, an esteemed recognition within the UK gaming sector, celebrate the best in game development, innovation and education. Being shortlisted as an Educational Institution underscores Escape Studios’ commitment to equipping students with in-demand skills that meet the evolving needs of the games industry.

The nomination in the Inspiring Courses category at the IHE (Independent Higher Education) Awards further highlights the value and impact of the BSc (Hons) / MSci Technical Art for Games & VFX programme. This course is recognised for bridging creative and technical skills, preparing graduates to excel in jobs across games and visual effects. By merging the art and science of interactive entertainment, the programme empowers students to master critical industry software and technical skills.

Dr Ian Palmer, Principal of Escape Studios comments: “We are immensely proud to be acknowledged by both TIGA and IHE in recognition of our academic rigor, industry partnerships and the innovative design of our courses. We are thrilled to see this approach recognised by TIGA and IHE.”

These recent nominations affirm the institution’s unwavering commitment to delivering industry-relevant education and pushing the boundaries of creative and technical arts education.
