The benefits of studying in London
There’s a lot to think about when you’re choosing where to study, and the city you’ll be spending most of your time in is a big thing to consider. Every year, thousands of students choose to study in London and it’s not a surprise given how much the city has to offer for students. When it comes to employability, London is one of the best places in the world to live if you’re interested in the creative industries. Many of the biggest animation, games and VFX companies in the world have studios in London. Transportation links
Whether you want to travel the world, or be able to visit family easily, London’s transport connections make it easy to get practically anywhere in the world. There are four major airports within easy reach of central London – Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stanstead, all flying to a wide range of global destinations. For more local travel, you’ll find train connections from London to all over the UK, and even to Europe thanks to the Eurostar. The London transport network also allows for easy travel in and around the city, with options ranging from the iconic tube and local buses to more outlandish options including the IFS Cable Car and Thames Riverboats (and you can use any of these methods of transport to get to Escape’s campus!).
Accommodation options
London has a wide range of options when it comes to finding student accommodation. Escape Studios partners with the University of London Housing Services, which supports students to find suitable accommodation, and offers services including contract checking. In London, you’ll have a huge range of student accommodation to choose from, so whether you prefer a shared or private bathroom, and whether you’d rather live in a purpose-built student accommodation block or a privately rented house or flat, you’ll be able to find student-friendly options.
