Carlos Poon

Carlos is one of our 3D VFX Tutors at Escape Studios. He has worked across all major 3D industries for over 15 years, starting in Industrial and Product Design, then as Assistant Technical Supervisor on the BAFTA winning TV series Tiny Planets, he then moved over to Games and worked as FMV supervisor for 5 titles including Lego Bionicles. 

He started his film career by joining Escape Studios to study Digital Compositing, and with his portfolio he was able to start as a VFX Artist working on the TV series Rome for HBO.  Carlos has worked as a Senior Generalist TD in the film industry on 17 major films, and was also part of the 40-strong team, winning an Academy Award, Best Visual Effects for the film Inception. He has had the opportunity to work at some of London's best VFX studios including DNEG and Cinesite.
